Wasn't there limited run of Chevy Nova 2 door station wagons in the mid-'60's? I believe one was run in SS/KA years ago. Jim Wahl would know who I'm talking about.

Actually 2 door station wagons were quite common in the 50s, and into the early 60s. In your 66 years you have never seen a 55-57 Chevy Nomad? They were all 2 door wagons. Although I believe all the Chevy 11/Nova wagons were 4 doors, Ford made Falcon wagons as either 2 or 4 door versions thru 64 or 65, and 2 door Chevelle wagons were made in 64 and 65. In fact Pat Brooks from the Seattle WA area here in Div. 6 ran a 64 Chevelle 2 door wagon in M& N/SA for several years.(He owns 2 of them). When I was a kid, my dad drove a 58 Ford 2 door Ranch Wagon, instead of having roll down windows where the rear doors would be on a 4 door version, the windows slide back. Not sure what Chevy and Pontiac did on their 2 door wagon windows.

Yes, there were...mostly '63-'65's. Our local natural gas company had several of them around town. I tried over the years to track a complete one down. Closest I came was the shell in a small salvage yard 40 miles west of here........ -Al

I agree on the 4 cyl. While I can run my car in SS/PA, it would be nice to be able to put that same turbo 2.3 in a lighter based body. It would be nice if NHRA changed the GT rule to: "Any year eligible SS engine allowed in any year eligible SS body" ( within the same corporate make of course) The 14.0 lbs. per fact. h.p would limit certain combos tho.

Speaking of station wagons, has anyone else thought about how cool it would be to build a Ford Flex, tubbed, big tires, 4-link, wheelie bars, sitting nice and low, 500hp SS only CJ engine (big blower) to run GT/AA or GT/BA. Well over 1000hp and 4170 lb in A or 4420 in B. Little bit of a different kind of FWD conversion.
