Hey Walt,great detail on the Grumps model even down to the dual rear shocks.Does anyone happen to know what rear tires he ran on the back,and what size they where?thanks

Hey Lyn, Thanks for the positive comments. It was a fun project that I managed to complete the night before a model car show. I entered it in the show, and to tell you of the quality of the cars in this competition, I didn't even place. Lessons are learned though. I spent some time trying to find out about the tire size of the slicks. All I could read was they were 7 in. slicks which was the maximum in Stock eliminator at that time. He did run larger diameter front tires though as an article in S/S magazine stated
for better roll out. That's what I did with his. The M&H Racemasters supplied in the kit are molded with 1100-13 on the side wall. I took taller tires from a 1/24th scale diecast Camaro Pro/S car, and there are no markings on those. Hope that helps. Take care. Walt |
