Ric Barry has a number of collector cars in his stable, including a 65 Comet with fuel injection. Don't know the provenence of the car but it is amaculate. (sp) Note the restored to original race condition A/MP "MIMI"
Camaro in the background. Re-done by John Acarino also of Syracuse, NY. They were both big players in the S/S wars in Central N.Y. in the late
60's and 70's.
Ric had an 83 H/O for sale back a couple of years ago with VERY low miles and it sold before I could even post a bid. Wanted it badly.

Ric is the sandy blonde haired man standing next to the passenger door of the Cuda. I think, but am not at all sure that John Acarino is the gentleman standing between the 2 cars. It has been many years since I have seen him. I have a photo of the S/S Camaro they fielded together that I'll scan in and post.

Here are the 2 pictures I have of the Accarino & Barry SS/F Camaro.
"The Assailant". They were taken at E.S.T.A. Safety Park in Cicero, NY.
July 1970. On 1 pass that day, Bill Blanding, one of the owners of BMS racing(MIMI team cars) drove the car and lost control between shifts. He slid into the grass on the left side of the track and came to a stop. Back then there were no guard rails. Just about 100 feet of grass on both side of the track. In a way it was good as it slowed the cars enough without smacking a wall or rail. No damage was done to either the car or driver.
Please someone correct me if my memory is fading, but that is how I remember it. I was on the starting line when Bill made his pass.

I just found out about John owning the 1967 MIMI car. I bought a car associated with BMS Competition and am trying to get ahold of John if anyone can help me I would appreciate it.
