What the big deal about header tethers? You can buy tethers for less money than I pay for a oil change, 4 quarts of 19.95 oil, 12.00 filter= 92.00. Tom

Tom, in my opinion, nothing that can't be overcome. It just is an example of what could be a long list of very short sided solutions to challenges that come up. I will buy them, no problem. When the solution is absent of any real consideration to achieving the goal in the most efficient manner, it is just frustrating. There are a lot more options that should have been considered. It just exposes the lack of understanding that the upper level management have of sportsman racers.

What is next?

What will be telling is how the local racers have to deal with it. ( those that have removable collectors and such)
Also, how long are the tethers expected to last and how do we test them? Are there to be dates stamped on them next?

I got the same email today, so it looks like the wording got screwed up in the full exhaust noting, and not to bypass tethers.

I wasn't aware that there were full exhaust systems that were not already attached to the car.

Evidently, someone had questioned the need for tethers, on a car with full exhaust. That was out a couple weeks ago. This really has turned into something.
