Default 305 crankshaft / rod selection

I`m looking for SBC 305 crankshaft / rod recommendations for a new build in NHRA Stock Eliminator (1980).

Go through the Accepted Products listing at NHRARacer.com Looks like you have a choice of one Eagle crank in Stock. I wound up building for SS because it seemed almost impossible to find all the year correct motor parts for a vintage muscle car without pilfering from someone like .... better not say...

Looks like Scat is the only brand listed
Several rod manufacturers...

The Accepted Products guide is a strange document. Limited options unless you run big blocks. More options for Chevy than Ford. SBC can run Dart and World blocks, but SBF is restricted to Ford Racing BOSS 302 or rebuilt stock. Go figure...

People have to submit parts for approval. I got a Scat rod approved for SS. Just took a couple of emails & a link to the part's specs. Didn't even have to buy them a rod. If you want to use something legit, talk to Bruce or somebody. Been long enough I can't remember who I was told to contact. Heck, ask your div tech guy who to contact. That is how the parts listed got approved. Somebody asked.

I need one asap! I stumbled upon something and need one quickly. I was supposed to take for balancing tomorrow. I dont have a core either. anyone know where I can get one ready to go in?

I am in cincinnati area. any help is appreciated.
I got a couple places I am going to call in the morning.

Newine, I use a stock 305 cast crank, manley rods and CP pistons and Bowtie block. Tom

I found the eagle sir rods and scar pro comps are the lightest. For the money. Cp pistons is a great choice.
