In the early 70's we were racing at Amarillo , Texas and Kip was pitted by me and he had to tear down the Engine I believe for a record with His Ford Galaxy ,just as I was changing a new cam in My Chevy .Darn if Kip had his motor apart and back to gather before I got the cam done , so he came over and helped me finish , I knew his motive we were all going to go out to diner that night and he wanted to make sure we did that lol
Of course i bought Wow He was one of the quickest racer i know who could take his engine apart for tear down and get it back together in time to go out to diner (tie)

Kip had just set the SS/L record (again) in Tucson. I asked him if he held anything back....He just smiled....and said....."Nope....that is all we got"....and gave me a wink
