Dont get me started..that whole G-damn industry is as corrupt as the year is long.
Gas should be $2.00 gal. or less and they'd STILL make a killing.

Just gassed up about an hour ago out here on Long Island. Paid $3.54.9 a gallon of regular at Sunoco which has the cheapest prices. From what I have read and heard second hand is that Sunoco does not purchase overseas crude which allows them to be a few cents cheaper. Otherwise regular gas varies about 5 to 7 cents a gallon upwards depending on brand and location. DIESEL AS OF TODAY $ 4.059 A GALLON. And everything can change in another 8 hours.

Here in Bridgeport, CT; private label is $3.59 - $3.65, and name brands are $3.67 - $3.80. Prices have remained steady for the last couple of weeks after decreasing about 10 cents a gallon after Christmas.

In my work area NE Illinois suburbs the Indians/Pakistani's run most of the stations and they are all 24 hour mini marts either Circle K or Bucky's / Mobil or Shell --- BP or Citgo are all run by a different group those tend to be on average about at least 5-7 cents a gallon cheaper on regular and diesel is from 25-35 cents per gallon cheaper ---just filled up on diesel 15 min ago paid $3.649 drove past 2 Speedways(Marathon) at $3.999---while pumping looked at the regular it was $3.399---At my home in Sheboygan, WI reg is $3.199--- every day on the Chicago news there is always some local/world problem just an excuse to raise the prices dramatically--usually at least UP 25-30 cents weather ,refinery problems( an ongoing situation) Dbama farted, Prince Charles had a cold every excuse you cold imagine u name it--- Course in Illnois it's all about taxes lotsa taxes and taxes on top of the taxes!!!!!! Glad I moved out still working part time there but EFF em I'm done----FED 387

Sunoco DOES NOT refine a drop of there own gas. They do not own a refinery. They sold all there refinery's a couple of years ago. Actually the company Sunoco does not exist anymore ....it is just a label. Sunoco Logistics (pipeline& terminals) owns the Marcus Hook refinery that is now just storage for butane and other LPG's.

It is often forgotten the amount of taxes on a gallon of gas.

Taxes, geographic location, governmental regulations give New Zealanders gas @$ 2.15 Kiwi dollars per LITER= approx $ 6.40 American dollars per gallon. No wonder they all drive on the wrong side of the road! I recently tried to show em the correct way. They didn't figure it out.
