Does it affect the paint underneath the decal ?
I found this on KleanStrips web site....http://www.wmbarr.com/product.aspx?catid=33&prodid=121 Now if I can find a place to buy it .....!! Might have to take a trip to Dallas...except in the rush hours, if there is such a thing !! Last edited by John Kelley; 01-03-2014 at 09:29 PM. |

Lots of great ideas. My problem is a little different, I have a decal of a drivers name on my plastic windows and now have changed drivers. Any ideas on how to remove the decals without screwing up the windows? Also if I ever join the HRA's again I am sure I will not get the same numbers. They are on the windows too.

3M Adhesive Remover works great, and the plastic razor blades are a big help. Autozone, Orielly's has it on the shelf......

Angelo, go to the automotive paint supply store and purchase the die grinder with eraser wheel attachment. Astro tools sells the product. You will need a couple eraser wheels to remove a lot of decals. The wheel is a four inch eraser, and it works great.

I've never had a problem getting them off with just a heat gun. I get the glue off with Safety Kleen parts washing solvent, it won't bother the paint. Never had to use anything else.

heat gun for the bigger ones, get heat just right glue will come with it. any glue residue use wd 40. wont hurt paint at all. for the small or multiple letters or very thin vinyl use the eraser wheel. this combo can get an entire cars decals off in under an hour.
