There are a lot of cars that are under rated at first ! but it does not matter for as the first guy that goes a second or more under things will start to change adjustments in HP rating, lower index etc. so with that said you have to be a fool to blast the index ! Me personally am happy with 4 to 8 tenths under. just my opinion and you know what they say about opinions !

You know, everybody complains about something. If it's sunny and a good day to race, the farmers want rain.
"Wouldn't it be cool if manufacturers got back into S/SS"? They did and there is bitching about various things. "Wouldn't it be cool if they'd put newer cars in"? They did and there is bitching about ratings" They dropped the hp on various engines (302 2bbl for example) and while people bitched, look how many are being built! In other words, new combo's on the track. This was a direct "cause&effect". Low hp on a new unproven combo? GREAT, it will get some out there and then if it is good, it'll get hit. If it's still a slug, everybody will give up on it. Some combo's are good and still nobody really runs it. (the infamous 350 pick up for example) If 260hp gets a crap load of v6 mustangs on the track;(1) they'll get hit if required and (2) there are MORE cars on the track....win/win! And yes, this too is only an opinion...... |
