I agree on the posts above about an aftermarket torque convertor. Mine really needs one.

I have a '95 Mustang GT Pure Stocker with basically the same engine as the Fox Mustang except mine has the factory electric fan.
Mine also has the AODE.

The car still has the factory torque convertor and has run a best of 9.29 on the I/PS index of 9.45.
Car still has the factory front and rear springs, struts, shocks, and sway bars.

Lots of room for improvement.
Alan
I have the AODE with a 2.84 low gear set and a 9" Edge convertor that I ran in my car before the current C4. If you have an interest in them, email me at socalvega@aol.com

This is a copy-n-paste from the IHRA rulebook:

BRAKES: Must be OEM complete, Line lock accepted. OEM up grades allowed.

So, I take that to mean no Aerospace, Strange or other aftermarket brakes ?

Correct......OEM brakes only or OEM up grade(OEM later disc for something like a 57 Chebbie).....unless IHRA made a last min. rule change????

Probably of no help here...mostly older conversions. https://scarebird.com/index.php?route=common/home
