It very well could be an Edsel piece, for a short time in 58-59, Ford used an oddball parts number system. I own an all original 1959 Ford, with a 332 cube FE engine, and the heads, intake and carb all have the "575" prefix on the part/casting number. If it is a FE intake, it will have a larger than normal thermostat bypass tube, with the temp sender threaded into it.
