Default 2014 Mid Atlantic Super Street, Comp & Gas Schedules

Thanks to the Divisional / Open Schedule coming out a month earlier than it has in the past couple of years. Lucky and I were able to get the MASSA/ MASCA/ MASGA schedule done a month ahead of time so you can all start to plan vacations, days off, etc.

Once again we will kick the season off at South Jersey's Atco Raceway on April 26th & 27th. This race falls the weekend before the PC Richards Open that falls on May 2nd to 4th. Speaking with Joe, we will be allowed to leave our trailers at the track for the PC Richards race to save on Gas and Tolls. Next stop will be our normal visit to Maple Grove Raceway on May 17th & 18th for the Sportsman Circuit Showdown. This will also be the weekend before the Lucas Oil Event at the Grove and Lex has told us we will also be able to leave your trailers at the track. The 3rd stop will be the newest date and the 1st of 2 stops to NE Maryland. Cecil County Dragway will host us on June 28th & 29th and then on August 9th & 10th. The August date is the weekend before the Lucas Race. Lucky and I will try to work something out with Jimmy as far as leaving your rigs at the track. The final race of the season will be once again at Atco for the Pre-Keystones warm-up on September 27 & 28th.

We will count 6 out of your best 10 races towards the championship so you have 4 mulligans to waste if you would like.

So I hope you are excited as I am for the 2014 season. Hope everyone has a great Turkey Day!

2014 MASGA Schedule

April 26th & 27th - Atco Raceway
May 17th & 18th - Maple Grove
June 28th & 29th - Cecil County
August 9th & 10th - Cecil County
September 27th & 28th - Atco

If you want info on MASGA (Super Gas) please E-Mail Leanne at lmfogerty@hotmail.com or call Lucky at 610-246-6081. For MASCA (Super Comp) & MASSA (Super Street) please e-mail Rob at Rekeister@aol.com or call him at 856-332-2851.

Also to clarify some stuff from last year with the Super Street guys and gals. MASSA is formed around NHRA / IHRA Super Street / Hot Rod Rules, this is not like the Super Street that you see at the Yellow Bullet Nationals or at any Index Races. It is a 10.90 index .500 Pro Tree just like you see at any NHRA / IHRA National Event or Divisional Event. One thing that we don't enforce is the minimum weight rule as NHRA & IHRA are different so their is no minimum weight rule enforced at MASSA Races.

So for all the series it is 2 Races per weekend, 2 Qualifying passes per day (Unless the track changes it), all racers are placed on a sportsman ladder for 1st round! Higher Qualified car gets LANE CHOICE FOR 1ST ROUND ONLY!!

$70.00 per race paid to Rob Keister (This is the purse that I pay the round winners with) plus gate entry fee ($30 or $35 depending on track) this helps the track turn on the light and pay it's employees.

To enter yearly points the fee is $70.00. We will count 6 out of your best 10 events towards your final total.

I assume gate entry fee is each Race / Day? Also, is $70 fee is for each race/day?

Yes, its 70 to race each day which would be paid to the assoc. Then theres the gate fee you'd pay to the track, Usually 30.

Yes as Jerry mentioned in the previous post. It is $70.00 per day paid to myself or Lucky. That fee goes right back to the racers in the payout. We may take a few dollars here and there to put back into the kitty to help pay for t-shirts, banquet, etc. but, only if we have enough cars to justify that. If we have 32 cars at each race the payout is $1,000 each day. The gate fee is usually $30.00 excluding Cecil but, Jimmy and Crew give us back a chunk to put into the pot. The gate fee is used for us to help the track out since we are not renting the track. So it helps in track prep, employees, electric, etc.

Hope this answers your question.
Rob

Just wanted to give everyone a heads-up. We will be needing to flip-flop the 1st event at Atco due to a scheduling conflict. The PC Richards Open was originally scheduled for May 2nd to 4th but, a schedule conflict popped up during that weekend and they had to move it to April 25th to 27th which was our original date. So we will be moving the first MASCA / MASGA / MASSA race to May 3rd & 4th, 2014. Sorry for the inconvenience as we tried to get the schedule out and completed ASAP but, sometimes little things pop-up and we need to adjust.

So for those keeping track here is the schedule:
May 3rd-4th - Atco
May 17th-18th - Maple Grove
June 28th-29th - Cecil
August 9th-10th - Cecil
Sept 27th - 28th - Atco

Any questions please e-mail me at Rekeister@aol.com
