Mike:
What engine is in the car?
Came with V8 2v and 4v carbs and V6 engine.

With V-8 w/ 4v should be an E,F,G car...w/ 2v H or I.

Got lots of options.

84 Monte Carlo had 305 4-bbl dished piston, low lift cam or 305 4-bbl high lift cam, flat top piston (L69 HO). No 305 2-bbl. 1979 was the last year a 305 2-bbl was offered.

Looking at the rulebook it seems they are not giving any leeway on the carburetor. I don't know how to make anything out of those electronic Q-Jets.

They will give leeway on carb, has to be newest non-electronic.

Qjets are easy to prep.
Lot of information available.

Save time, send to a Master Qjet Tuner like a Val Headworth.

Built many over the years, but never an electronic version. Working on a '67 model atm...

I was just stating the lack of wording in the rulebook on carbs vs the NHRA clarifications.
