Hand Over Fist...I agree with you on both financial and senitmental value of the older cars.

Treekiller, most of the new FI cars are beautiful, happy to have them in stock and really glad to race them especially since most do not fit in G & H anymore.

The AHPS works though it takes time and is frustrating when you have to bring a knife to a gun fight. Been there before with the Firebirds when they were H cars and now the new cars.

BUT "that's racing".

Mass is a bit far for me but when you thaw your stuff out sometime in April or May come on down south and we'll meet up somewhere and see if we can make something happen. If we puttin dial ins on you might as well leave your trailer door down

[QUOTE=Evan Smith;411445]Why should it be a "right" to be competitive with an old race car when there is new, better technology available?

Evan: First of all, not everyone can afford a $100,000+ race car. Stock Eliminator wasn't intended to be "he with the most money wins"...it's not NMCA heads-up racing. The "better technology" argument doesn't fly.

Why has the NHRA accepted the bogus HP factors that the new cars came with from the get-go? How come the AHFS has worked at a "snail's pace" when it comes to these new cars? The answer to all of these questions is because the NHRA has simply let them. They are catering to big money.

By the way I love all the new cars however it is ridiculous to imply that everyone has the option to upgrade to these new cars and that this is the new wave and older cars can't be competitive because they can be when everybody is factored correctly. Listen you watch a national event sometimes the seats are empty even when the pros are running. The sport is not growing. My suggestion way back was made as just an idea how to get more cars in the pits and level the playing field while still allowing the guys who want to win the dikk swinging contest and say I got the fastest car to still have their fun.

Ouch! If you go 10.50's that is smoking in our part of town. If not great sense of humor. How right does the weather have to be to go 10.50's in G/SA?????
