Default NHRA Division 4 racers, Harold Hayes

D4 Racers,

could we make this happen?

For now, the short version, more info later.

Some years ago Harold and Lester Hayes began work on a 1987 Thunderbird with plans to build a stocker. Harold worked for the Kilgore Ford dealer during those years. At the dealership it was stripped, cleaned, and painted. Then taken to Dennis Hurst for roll bar and suspension work. If you knew both Harold and Dennis you understand the work up to this point is top shelf.

Then, because of several family happenings Harold put the car in storage were it remains today. I do not know the details of Harold's health but he is wheelchair bound and most likely will be for the remained of his life. His age is 74.

Lately, I talked with Lester about the car and he told me, "come get it, you can have it"

So in light of this I have the idea of completing the car and racing it in stock as the Harold Hayes tribute car.

Of course, this idea/project is only and idea today. My "dream" is to get NHRA Division 4 racers to contribute resources toward the buildup.

Let me have your first impression. Also, do you have some suggested contacts that could help make this happen.
