Gary that is a Hyd. roller cam correct? Would a flat tappet sound like that? Why besides the duration and the tight lsa makes it so rough that short lift? Are stocker cams rough on valve trains?

Thanks!

Yep hydraulic roller per rules. Pretty much a profile developed by Jim Kuntz, stick shift grind by Lunati. Not hard on the springs either, uses Comp 993 outer springs. Exhaust is nothing special either, most stockers run merge collectors which I don't have. Bret Velde and I ran similar combinations, he actually ran the same basic grind with an automatic. We both have run the EFI in open loop speed density mode which makes it run kind of fat at low rpm. Bret's old car and mine pretty much sound the same for all it's worth.
