1. as piedmont's track manager, your post doesn't say much about your professionalism and calls into question what should be your unbiased decision making should an issue arise between pairings, the ladder, bye runs, etc. 2. no where in my post did I state I am "so good on the bottom" 3. I have supported beard's thanksgiving race in the past as well yours and had every intention of supporting it again this year with a double entry, being that it's back at piedmont which is a far better facility than that dump known as cpd, but based on your comments above, and questionable unbiased decision making skills as the manager, I'll pass and I'll be sure to let my friends know who were on the fence why I am not going. 6. when/if beard shows up again at numidia, I'll make every effort to line up with him and based on his comments, his car will help me to facilitate his out of here in 10 minutes routine. ![]() 7. that all said, why make this about beard when you have made it about you and me so here's what I'm thinking...no time shots, no buybacks, no mulligans, no best of 7! You line up against me, put a number the window, 1 time,1 round in a legal/no electronics, footbrake launched door car and we bracket race. Both cars are inspected immediately after turning off the track by the track manager and you/I. Race and inspection will be video'd. The loser donates $5,000 within 48 hours to the winner's legit, incorporated, nationally known charity. The track chosen will be halfway between us. Hell you even get a tax deduction. So put up or shut up! 8. BTW, I'm with you, I don't care about the car that you witnessed run 1.28 60 foot in 2007 that I sold 5 years ago, that a another poster felt compelled to talk about in this thread. Sorry Dan but I would never accuse anyone that they may be doing something wrong, I believe that's the tech officials job. I just feel that there needs to be regular spot checks for driver aids. Just like fuel, weight, legal combo, and safety. I have not heard of any of the Stock or Superstock community having their cars spot checked! All I said is I would welcome driver aid checks. It seems that no matter what anyone has to say here someone is ready to twist your words and jump down your throat just because you have an opinion! Lighten up, no one has anything to worry about unless they really do have something to worry about?

I had my car checked over a few years ago after cutting a .006 light in the 4th round at a National Event. I'm not a guy who has very many .00 lights, so I'm pretty sure I triggered something with NHRA's data. After fuel check, a younger Tech guy I had never seen before said "Hi, pull your car over here and I'm going to check some stuff". He also asked me to stand over away from the car. I said great. Anyway, he spent about 15 minutes under the car and under the dash. He said everything was good. I wish NHRA would do more of this.

A couple years ago I had this guy hounding me to trade my 69 Camaro stocker for a crate motor car. One day when He called I said ok but I wanted the car the next day. Well sure enough, He was at my shop with the car the next morning. Deal was trade plus He would give me $3000.00 Well when he was at my shop he only had $1,000 but promised he would send me the balance when He got home. I'm still waiting for a $1000. of it. Looking at the car when He left I realized the wiring was a mess so I had a friend take it to his shop to rewire the car,,,, BUSTED !!! We found a delay box hidden in the car,, We took pictures of the whole set up and sent them to NHRA and IHRA. To make matters worse the motor had a SS cam in it... I hate a Cheater !!!
