Guess you missed all the threads/controversy over the last couple of years. At the simplest level, if you want to cash in on class wins you have to compete for the National Performer Awards, link below gives you a 30,000 foot summary.
http://www.nhraracer.com/content/gen...661&zoneid=176 Search the forum for performer, contingency, etc

Charlie,
You will get your sheet in the mail. Most of the companies pay 100 now that they only pay at 4 class races. Call me or I can call you to help you out. |

The only events that pay contingency for a class win are the three Sportsnationals and the Indy National.
Go to NHRA.com, click on the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series logo that takes you to the Sportsman site, click on the Sportsnationals tab and then click on PURSE to get what you want. You can use this link to go to the most recent Sportsnationals at Vegas. http://www.nhra.net/sportsnationals/...purse_2013.pdf

Seems to me that at the time this came out, there were indications of "better things coming", and to be patient. Somebody was communicating with Scooter about bigger and better program....I guess the vendors feel the status quo is OK

Tom Compton told us at Indy that NHRA was going to start treating us better, so i'm sure 2014 will be a bigger and better year for all Sportsmen racers.LOL

Thank you Sam.......................that was the list I was looking for. Never noticed the class purse was there also.
Thank you Paul, you are a gentleman. It has been a while since I was last handed a clip board at the scales. |
