I like that one Dan, but perhaps certain racers only follow shows like Big Brother and Survivor for their role models and didn't get your reference. I'd like to think everyone is staying within the rules, but then I maintained that Lance didn't dope right up until he finally admitted it so what do I know.

Put up or shut up, we don't care you go 128 60 foot at 3800 lbs and Beard had a bad weekend in PA. Here is what I do know, I paid Beard's entry once in a 10K race, at Bristol, and he ran hisself in the finals.
Herb...

1. as piedmont's track manager, your post doesn't say much about your professionalism and calls into question what should be your unbiased decision making should an issue arise between pairings, the ladder, bye runs, etc.

2. no where in my post did I state I am "so good on the bottom"

3. I'm a bracket racer, not a grudge racer. We don't race best of anything, we race each round to eliminate except in North Carolina where there is no tech inspection and where you can buyback until you run out of $ and if you're "lucky" enough to hold the "mulligan" that's drawn, they'll put you back in the race late in the rounds.

4. my comment about beard's bad day was to show he's human too as beard never misses and opportunity to tell everyone how good he is even in this thread about alleged NHRA inspections for cheating in super stock, stating his every round reaction times of his good weekend.

5. I have supported beard's thanksgiving race in the past as well yours and had every intention of supporting it again this year with a double entry, being that it's back at piedmont which is a far better facility than that dump known as cpd, but based on your comments above, and questionable unbiased decision making skills as the manager, I'll pass and I'll be sure to let my friends know who were on the fence why I am not going.

6. when/if beard shows up again at numidia, I'll make every effort to line up with him and based on his comments, his car will help me to facilitate his out of here in 10 minutes routine. Better yet, my kid could run him.

7. that all said, why make this about beard when you have made it about you and me so here's what I'm thinking...no time shots, no buybacks, no mulligans, no best of 7! You line up against me, put a number the window, 1 time,1 round in a legal/no electronics, footbrake launched door car and we bracket race. Both cars are inspected immediately after turning off the track by the track manager and you/I. Race and inspection will be video'd. The loser donates $5,000 within 48 hours to the winner's legit, incorporated, nationally known charity. The track chosen will be halfway between us. Hell you even get a tax deduction. So put up or shut up!

8. BTW, I'm with you, I don't care about the car that you witnessed run 1.28 60 foot in 2007 that I sold 5 years ago, that a another poster felt compelled to talk about in this thread. My current ride is far more impressive and 60 foots as quick as 1.17!

Herb is not Piedmont's track manager, and has not been for years.

Loose Rocker Promotions has never had a Mulligan at any of our events, and we utilize only one round of buybacks at our bracket races, run re-entry style. As far as tech, while we've never done a complete tear down of a car, at our $20K Footbrake events, I have personally checked out nearly every car in competition to some extent, plus we have knowledgeable starters who watch for anything out of the ordinary.

As explained previously, citing actual data of a car/driver that is demonstrably not cheating is the easiest way to refute a claim that people are cheating because someone doesn't believe it's statistically possible. Good lord...! SORRY I even posted anything.

See (1.) above. Additionally, decisions made at Loose Rocker events are made solely by either myself or Anthony Walton, and done so as fairly as possible, made based on the circumstances, and not the driver(s) involved. Why would you bad-mouth our event based on someone who has no association with neither the event nor the facility?

Good idea. We've never had an issue with each other that I'm aware of, and there's no need to start one now.

Ed, heres the bottom line, the red chevelle you formerly owned ran a best of high 10 ohs in negative air with a oval port production engine with 1.3 60 foots and high 4.0s in the 330, hardly impressive compared to what several chevelles the same as yours have run today. Fast forward to the 522 inch aftermarket engine in the same red chevelle, 9.89 @ 134, high 1.3 60 foots in negative air, again hardly impressive in comparisome to what several of us have run with production oval port heads. Several times myself and others have asked you to post your claimed 1.2 60 timeslip, you always refuse, you said you ran that number next to a racer out of Jenkins shop, this racer out of Jenkins shop did not ever remember that 1.2 60 foot you claim. You have stated on this forum you have the time slip, since this is such a topic of discussion on this forum why don't you just post it and put this to rest, seems logical to me. As far your 522 inch SS/GT goes its going to be hard for you to garner respect on here seeing this car was run with 522 inches of aftermarket big block, personally I would like see what would happen if Grossi and his peanut port , flattop, Q-Jet GT car got ahold of you and your aftermarket 522 @ Atco, Im pretty sure I know what would happen. BTW what did you replace the 522 you blew up all over the track with? One more thing Ed, how many of you on here believe a Mallory 140 fuel pump with a return would supply sufficent fuel on a 3625 pound nine second chevelle?

Nine pages back, Don Kennedy started a post about cheating in S & S/S. The validity of that topic still remains to be seen.

Please tell me what 60ft times and a red Chevelle have to do with this thread???
If you would like to compare **** sizes with another racer, please start your own thread and lets get back to the real topic of where Fletcher will be dining on someone elses dime.
