Tom Meyer....thanks for the lead...on the whole thing! I can't imagine what it felt to
be a part of it...(sounds like you worked your but off, LOL!!!) I saw the tv show...and think the History Channel did a decent job trying to make it interesting for all concerned....given the time frame they had... If you're an intense car/auction buff...you change the channel to Barrett-Jackson... plain and simple.... I like the MO of the Australian lady...I'll get the car FIRST...then we'll worry about getting it HOME!!!! (She DID get her car....) Understand the prices were a bit high...given the conditions...(trees included?)...BUT auctions tend to do that...and the Lambrechdt situation helped as well... Hope the guy focused on 348 W-motor cars found one... Wish it had a bit more coverage on the Tri-Fives that were there....I still think that I saw at least one or two 1955 150-series 2-dr posts...maybe one of them might have been a Business Coupe? It would be interesting to know...where each vehicle ended up....(state or country... don't need specific locations or names)...and the selling price.... Is this info private? |
