Thanks Ken: I found the 352 in the NHRA spec's. (2010 Cobra Jet) Looks like they made a good choice too. 352c.i., EFI, 3.40 stroke, 11.25cr, 56cc chambers, flat pistons, .005AB deck, 2085/1605 valves, 285hp/NHRA factored 289 in an auto. The NHRA blueprint says throttle bore (4@ 1.75)?? I assume that must be an EFI that looks like a 4 bbl. carburetor?? If the 1.75 is inches of the bore, that is 44.45mm x 4=177.8mm?? Help me out here Ford guys lol, I'm familiar with the Chevy LT-1(48mm x 2 throttle body) If my logic is sound this Blue Oval should be a rocket! I saw online where Nick Morris ran .995 under at Bowling Green! It ain't no slouch. Nick loaded my brother at Indy in 2011 for class, I got to talk to them in the staging lanes, Nick, his family, and his car are a class act. Don Jackson

Maybe JHeath should read up on his Fords before he spouts his words of wisdom again. |

So, the reason why Ford racing used the Boss 302 block to go 0.060 and why they call it a 352. Heck, they could have used their racing blocks with thick walls and go 4.080 and call it a 355 or go 4.100 bore and call it a 359 or go 4.125 and call it a 363. The real point here is that the 352 buildup is what it was accepted by NHRA. |
