Lucas Oil Nationals - Brainerd

I'm very happy to see that the entry numbers for Brainerd increased dramatically in the past couple weeks for Super Stock and Stock.

I want to thank each of you that will be competing this weekend and I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable event.

I'll be at the track bright and early Friday morning.

Is it still tough getting rooms for the nats weekend?? Haven't been back for about ten years now but used to go every year.

Great weather for qualifying,should be about the same for friday.

Yes, it's still very difficult. It was a fluke that I got mine.

Forecast is looking good, no rain. However, I think it will be too warm for good numbers: 80 today, tomorrow and 85 Sunday.

18 Pro Stockers in the house, but only 14 Comp cars.

It cost more to run a Comp car.

WoW WHAT a week it has been............ We had lots of excitement in the BIR S/SS COMBO camps this week.
SUPER close races, unexpected outcomes and broken drive shafts & transmissions blown engines,
"race a stocker they said,... it will be fun they said"$$$$$$
Any way,
My good friends Tracy Fairchild M/SA and WILD Bill Feist B/S are still in the big show at BIR!
As well as other local HITTERS "veteran" Stock Driver

Chris Knudsen and another personal friend, and one Heck of a driver Alex Wiese.
I would like to wish them all the very best!!

I my self have had better week-ends but that's the way this stuff goes.
This race is CRAZY and who ever wins has a memory to last a life time!!!!

In the end, that's all any of us have left anyway.

What a great weekend! The weather was great, the racing fantastic and we had two first-time National event winners from Winnipeg; Gord Gingles in T/AD and Kevin Dyck in Super Gas.
