I am at the point i need to purchase rocker arms and feel i have narrowed it down to three brands and could sure use everyone's opinions. I have a 1971-72 Nova 350/270 with 7/16 studs. The three choices i seem to be leaning towards are:
PRW Pro series Stainless $299.50 COMP Cams Hi-tech Stainless $384.00 Crower Enduro Stainless $526.00 Not familiar with PRW and Crower is sure at the top of the $$ range so my gut tells me COMP. Also would like to know everyone's pushrod choices (brand and wall thickness) as i would imagine i will need to purchase new also for correct length/geometry. One final stupid question. I assume i have to run guide plates? Sorry for all the questions but i am new to Stock and would really like some veteran guidance here. Thanks! Kurt

Kurt,,, I've had good luck with the Comp stainless rockers,,, a good investment, I think.
I haven't seen the PRW rockers,, but I've tried one of their stud girdles and I wasn't too impressed with it. My 2 cents,,, good luck which ever way you go. Danny Durham |

Comp Cams. Call Tim Cole, you need the new special rocker for Stock Eliminator. Tim will also hook you up with 3/8" guide plates and the correct pushrods. You cannot go wrong with the new stuff Tim and Comp have developed for Stock Eliminator. It was developed with direct involvement with some of the best engine builders in the country. Tim Cole at Comp is the "go to guy" for a lot of us.

Comp has the "new" 1/2 stud rocker system for the SBC which should work just fine on the stocker engines.
