Probably at the beginning of the Bader era. I went to work for him in 2000, and I think Pure Stock had been cut back to A through I by that time. Prior to that, though, I remember seeing Russ Parker at Beaver Springs with a Z/PSA Malibu!

1/4-mile facility, but the Pro-Am is run 1/8th mile. In the past, they've had a session for setting 1/4-mile records.

Will they be doing the 1/4 mile record thing this year? Last year they didn't.

You're welcome Daran.

You're car kind of sounds like mine.
I bought it off a car lot in Nov. 2010 with 180K miles.
I have never taken a peek under the valve covers because the engine runs so good.
All I did was put 4.56 gears in it and an AODE shift kit. (well worth the time and money)
Still has the stock toque convertor and heavy D.O.T. street tires.

Barely ran the I/PS index @ London 2012 at 1,400 ft.(Bottom pic)
Ran 14.30's at Bowling Green Oct 2012 (top pic)

Lots of room for improvement for the car.

180K wow!!! The only thing I am concerned with is the factory timing chain is still holding on
Mine has 4.56 and the street fighter converter just regular AOD in mine. Pulling the timing chip thingy and locking the timing seemed to help. I am not a Ford guy though so it's probably going to find a new home but wouldn't mind making Beards big race.

I never have got to set any 1/4 records because I have'nt been able to go to any 1/4 pro-am's. I thought I might be able to make it to Michigan, but insurance bill that showed up last week says,I'm not going anywhere in amount due spot.
It's been awhile since anyone held 1/4 mi F/PS record,it would look good with your name on it Dan.

Thanks Mike:
Darlington looks possible.
But looks like they are set up for a 1/8th mile.
Wondering if they will allow a 1/4.

One of the ways get Pure Stockers more recognized.
Get our names on the Record books and create our own legends.
