What I found is they seem to like wider wheels than bias tires. Mine hooks harder, with more air, on wider wheels. Stopped all wobble. On 9" tires mine liked 10" wheels, the 10.5" radials liked 12" wheels. I now use 12.2 W (a little over 12.5") on 14" wheels. Have never had one wobble since I got off wheels the same or lees than tread area. Has worked that way on Hoosier, MT and Goodyear radials. Runs quicker with zero wobble.

I was mainly asking if anybody had tried the 29.5MT Radial...its 8 1/2' wide(according to the info on their site)... its only 92'' Circ, while one of the 9x30's is 93''. Im just trying to keep them out of my 1/4 panels... Im running a 94'' Pheonix bias, and have major rubbing issues, on the outer wheel lips...and theyve all been trimmed and rolled. Gettin tired of the rubbing, The problems arise, when im driving around, not at the top end. They grow, some, but dont seem to be into the body, at 120mph. Curious about the Pheonix 92'' Radial, and if anybody is using them......

My point was that you can be right and others can be right. Most people (most) draw upon first hand experience and attempt to be helpful to others. They try and share their experiences with their cars.

I know that understanding stock and superstock along with our quirky rules can be difficult, but most of what racers know is derived from their on track experiences.

I would not figure that I could apply tuning aids from my stocker to a rat motor Chevelle, but it does not mean you didn't have yours set up right because of that.

brent, it seems to me you know the answer to your issue which is a different matter than your question. Over a year has past since you last asked about using/trying raidal slicks. It's obvious you want to try them, so do it, it's your $, your time and your car. Just know, not only do they require different air pressure from your bias slicks but also shock settings. Good luck.

What features make Radial Slick or Bias Ply better?

I have run both with not much comparable difference in performance.
Then again my car runs low 13's

I was not talking about yours, but rather it was more of a statement about mine. Tell you what, enter your car in D stick with me and we can find out......

Seriously, I like your cars and I have not any problem with you at all, but damn, read before you reply. Trust me, it will gomuch smoother on here.

Just in case you want to measure, I do have 30 years of experience and have raced everything from a 1950s Sears Sabre scooter to an A econo altered and lot in between. I sure as heck don't know everything, but I do know that we can all have opinions without having to be arguing every gosh darn point that people bring up.

If you venture to Div. 3 come on over for a beer or six 1320. I will be at Joliet Nats.
