It would slow down with a 273...that's an AMC 290!

When I saw the qual sheet, I was pretty impressed that he could get a 343 to run that hard. A 290 gets him serious respect from me. It's not like you can choose from thousands of parts or rely on 30 years of technology.

Leo Taugher was definitely missed. It's just not a true division 3 race without Leo!

We're back at Indy to finish up last week's LODRS. The track is allowing everyone one time run today, and then tomorrow we set to eliminating down from the 450 or so entries that remain from last week. Pits are pretty lean, so it's hard to say if people are just going to come in overnight or early in the morning, or if there will be some holes on the ladder.
It's a somewhat bright overcast. Despite the week's forecast, it's actually pretty nice out. The wind is very close to the conditions that we experienced first round last week, a 3-5 mph crosstail. The barometer is down another .13 from last week. My pass was pretty close to first round last week. It's tried to spit a tiny bit, but no real holdups. The larger area of weather is moving north and west of us. Almost everyone I've talked to today has asked about the Northern Class Nationals. We are now one year away from the big S/SS extravaganza to be held at National Trail Raceway in Hebron, OH! I started putting together a preliminary flyer last night so I'll be able to flesh out some details and have something physical in hand to better explain to prospective sponsors and advertisers how the program is laid out.
