"Each specially numbered chassis is assembled by hand at the same facility that constructs Chevrolet’s COPO Camaro production race cars." This line in the second paragraph makes it sound like MPR has worked on these cars.

On the upper right under the picture is says "Chevrolet Performance's new Camaro drag-race rolling chassis is an assembled race car foundation, including an NHRA-approved roll cage"

Does anyone know what MPR charges for a roller?

In all fairness, I think it's great that GM is making these cars/rollers available and it's a chance at buying a very rare car. I just feel buying a complete COPO is a much better deal then buying the roller IMO. Either way I wish all that are buying them good luck and hope to see a lot of them at the track.

In all seriousness, how much would a reputable shop charge to take a brand-new Camaro and install an 8.50 certified cage in it, complete with a fully functional interior? ie: no butchering of the interior.

I am sure he had a considerable hand in the development and supply process for the COPO, as he did for the COBRA JET and DRAG PAK cars.

Call Mike @810 798 8998. I am sure he will give you all the answers you may need.

That price makes the initial Drag Pak not look so out of line.

Mike has not "worked on these cars" Mike built the concept COPO and supplies some parts and tooling.

As to what Mike charges...well the best ain't cheap!
