I had planned on attending the June race, however who wants to go to Slick City? Our local track and Shreveport went through these problems with new owners. They no longer own the tracks. Currently Monroe hooks like crazy due to real racers becoming owners and not using the cheap stuff to prep the track with. It seems that every "new" owner thinks they can low ball it and get by. They finally learn that in order to attract racers they must bite the bullet and use the "good stuff" or lose a significant portion of the racers. Stockers and probably all high hp classes need the best stuff in order to be consistent. At one of the last races, I made at NO Problem I raised tire pressures up to 26#'s before I finally couldn't hook. It increased my MPH each # I reaised it. I sounds like you better start low and go lower to be consistent.

We are about ready to pull out of No Problem Raceway this morning. All in all we had a great time. The people and the hospitality make the race. And we never had a problem hooking at all! But that may be due to our Goodyear tires! And we will probably be back next year--just for the food if nothing else!

Had around half a dozen cars go in the 8's on 9" tires this weekend. Track obviously pretty good.

I talked to Pat friday night and he said he had the new owners buy the good stuff. I thought the traction was fairly good until they sprayed about ten feet from the starting line till past half track without dragging rubber right in front of the semi finals in Comp and Top Dragster. Well three of the four smoked the tires as soon as they got to the fresh spray. The round before Greg Kamplain (B/ED) went .963 60 foot.

I am sorry for my comments then. I've had a bad experience with a change of track ownership and Pat was/is the best. Best of luck to the new owners.

Mr the butcher next time you have a negative comment have the decency to add your name! Second Jeff did what most people are afraid to do, put your money where your mouth is, second he lost and like a gentleman he took it and dealt with it like a gentleman.Mr Barton you could learn a thing or two on be graceful in defeat and in winning, take it like a man without comments. Second why must a track be like glue on flypaper, shouldn't you know how to set-up your car for any condition, if you want to run a fast car you better know how to tune that suspension. You have to leave some meat on the bone for the track operator too, look at the expense, taxes, repair, special vehicle, ambulance, staff, cutting the grass, etc,etc come on, or be ready to pay more or see the track go by by and let corn grow instead of hearing all that bitching(which I have been guilty of flapping my gums about without thinking of the cost of running such an event).
