I must be completely clueless. I thought the DP's, COPO's and CJ's were all ready to hit the track upon delivery and be competitive? I am not trying to be disrespectful, but what has to be done to these cars to hit the track? Patterson had a COPO out last year before Indy if I recall. Heck other than adjusting the seat and being acclimated to the car, what else are you having to do after spending that kind of money on one of these? Connolly had a FAST ECU & system installed also. Patterson still had the GM MEFI ECU, with a few tuning tweaks. Engines were untouched.

Understand...just wish GM would put a 3-speed auto from the factory on the COPO's (at least on the N/A cars) so the racers don't have to spend additional.
