Brett and anyone else:

If you go to User CP on the tool bar at the top and click on it, you can then go to Settings & Options. Under that heading choose Edit Ooptions and click on it.

Now go to Thread Display Options, Visible Post Elements and put a check mark in Show Signature, as well as anthing else you choose.

When your done scroll to the bottome and click on Save Changes.

Yes, that is normal.
