Drag Race Central on Bich and his cars

Here's one Genes old cars. I bought it in '73 (it was green then) and raced H/G til we made it a C/SM car in '76. Sold it in '80. The first time I took it down the track, I asked Gene what to leave the line at and he said, "When the second amber goes out, mash it to the floor and let the clutch out when the last amber goes out." That was with a 5 bulb tree.Tiny motors and high rpm (9000+). Doesn't get any better than that.
I learned alot from Gene, a great teacher and friend.
Cool article in Drag Race Central and well deserved.
By the way, the old wagon looks fast in red. Red is right. A real hot rod color.
This makes me wanna go racing again.
