To Build or Not to Build is the ???

I am getting ready to start building a 1992 Mustang GT for NHRA Stock. Is it worth it to even build a stocker anymore with all the BS going on with the way the NHRA treates the sportsmen racers? I just don't want to spend alot of money on a car and in 2 or 3 years have no where to race it. What I am getting at do you guys think the NHRA will stop running stock, super stock etc at national events? I plan on running about 5 points races a 2 to 3 national events a year. I know you IHRA guys will say come race with us I would love to I see the way the sportsmen get treated over there. But all the IHRA tracks are to far for me to get to. I live in DIV 1 and all the track I will race at are not that far to travel to. Just looking for some input.

No problem--nhra stockers will stay in national events--all the pros would only put a 4 hour show on each day--fans want a full day of racing and drinking $7.00 taps--go for it nhra style--

I do not know how long you have been in Sportsman racing; all I can tell you is that if I followed all the rumors and gossip, I would have quit years ago. Just build your car and have fun.

Build it. We are just starting to run comp and we are going to build a stocker for my dad. And maybe a super stocker in a couple of years. I really have a blast at the Div. races. Much more than the Nats. We have raced super street and super gas and if feels like they really don't want you there at all, but you have to remember they are trying to conduct business and make things run smoothly so sometimes they are not that friendly in the staging lanes but I go to race and be with friends but most importantly drink BEER! Build it and go have fun
