Default Re: Smokey Ram

To Bob:
I would be interested in seeing pics but I'm not sure what it takes to place an attachment with a thread.
Also, if unmodified that would be a legal manifold and I could use it.

To Jeff:
What have I tried? Tried a dual plane intake, too much of a compromise. Need to make all the power from 3500-6500. Driveability at lower RPM is not a concern. We start them up and head out of the pits at 2500-3500 RPM. Run that way for 2-3 minutes till everything gets all warmed up then put it on the firewall. Full power, max RPM for anywhere from 5-8 minutes, then its back to the pits. The RPM may drop a few hundred in the corners but only because of the additional load, not from backing off. The Class is Sportsman Entry, or SE. We circle race Flatbottom V-drive boats. Think of it as racing a dyno, thats why I thought the Smokey Ram might be a viable option. Idling around the pits is just not a concern. I was in the market for a Strip Dominator or Team G or other such large empty hole when the Smokey Ram idea came to me. I know no one else has one, or tried one to my knowledge, I was just looking for an edge.
