We will see how many So Cal guys are fed up enough to support this -

http://www.famosoraceway.com/images/...-bash-2013.jpg

It is not a beloved NHRA race - it is one of those awful bracket races
No heads up - OMG
No class racing - OMG
Just what we normally do without the dreaded AHFS, fuel check, weighing and NHRA with a hand out

I am sure there are plenty of well and good reasons not to go but not for us

We will be there (Bakersfield)

Two races $2500 to win (E and no E brackets both days)
$225 For Car/Driver and 10 Crew/Spectator
Pre-Entries Get A Free T-Shirt

Why would they announce an increase to the customer? You don't see the food store announcing it when milk or bread or eggs or chicken or other products go up in price, nor do you see the airlines making an announcement when tickets cost more.

Good point Evan .........Plus they 'only' raised it 1.6% - $ 5 bucks - I'd worry more about how much diesel is going to cost us this year .

I think it's more about the principle of it. Wasn't too many years ago it was 250.00. Every time they increase the price, they always say it's for the insurance so no one will have an argument about the entry fee's going up and how come the purse isn't. Never ending enhancements that we all get.

I haven't entered these things in a few years, so correct me if I'm wrong.
So, the events that have the fuel queers there, if a TF wheel and tire comes off and hits you in the head and kills you, you've already paid an extra $100 bucks for the pleasure?
This sounds like a better protection racket than The Mob could come up with.
This looks like a Jesse Jackson caliber shakedown...

A food store? lol.

This outfit is supposedly a not for profit organization. They claim it was organized for the benefit of its members. It is not meant to operate like a food store. Of course nhra has gotten away with all sorts BS over the years, but it would not be very difficult to imagine that a legitimate organization would broadcast advance notification of cost increases.

BTW airlines regularly broadcast rate fluctuations.

Noticed D2 and D7 (first Divisionals on the schedule) haven't posted entry fee/payout structure, just promotion flyers....hope there's not another storm brewing
