Hit the road at 2am for the now shorter 6hr tow from Ohio to Martin, MI's US131 Motorsports Park. A sprinkle, some oil downs, show cars etc pushed us late. Down to the semis of Stock and Quarters of Super Stock when they pulled the plug for dew. Finish in the a.m. and then roll into the ProAm race. Windy, warm, calm, cool... this race had it all, with cars moving a tenth and a half from one extreme to the other. A few cool tidbits to share later, but been up for 23 hrs... time to crash

lol Yep, you must be "dead" tired to get your No Box ET results mixed up with SS!
Congrats on selling your NC house in this market. Oops! I thought you were on your way home! Good luck! Last edited by Myron Piatek; 08-12-2012 at 10:13 AM. |

...and those two were about the only good laps I made all weekend. Ugh. Going on no sleep is not very smart, but I did manage a R/U in Stock in the Nitro Jam race (Thanks again to Terry Knott for a seat in the Dart Sport!) and a R/U in Super Stock in the Pro-Am race.
Sorry I didn't get to post anything to speak of. It was a constant run all weekend. Big thanks to Jim & Connie and all their helpers for an AMAZING bbq! Nitro Jam (Tournament of Champions qualifying race) Super Stock - Mark Nowicki over Brian Clayton (heads-up final) Stock - Brent Darroch over Michael Beard Congrats to both these great winners, as I believe each has their respective Div. 3 Championships sewed up. The Nitro Jam had special trophies for the R/U's too... a stand-up plaque with some styling cues similar to a connecting rod. Pretty neat piece. Summit Pro-Am Super Stock - Joe McDougall over Michael Beard Stock - Brad Zaskowski over Darrell Ciaravino Pics... - US131 entrance - Entrance road looking across track to pit side - in-car staging lanes, Stock Qualifying - Giannia Cantusci's world champ #1 bullseye - Bob Marshall's crew chief, Leonard Wyche. As cool as they come! - Duck Tape pits - Terry Knott's Dart Sport with Nitro Jam R/U trophy

Nice 67 Nova.. (If it's a 230 ,you wouldn't want a 66 anyway)
