Boy! Do those pictures take me back! I worked with Ed H. for many years. I had Phil Strudwick's E/SA Duster Stocker for a while also. Jim

That car was changed to a Demon to run SS/K and then SS/KA. Car still in Maine and has been restored.

Larry Stewart( did all Paint and Body work on our cars) and I went down to visit Ed at SLP while we were in Englishtown this year, he is President and very involved in the running of it, working 4 1/2 days a week, either in Toms River or Detroit.
Pictures to follow once I get them resized.
Dannyboy good story...just curious on how many A-Bodies were run under the Hamburger colors back then...anyone else here know .

Steve Strieter on the west coast owns one of Hamburgers SS cars. He's known as "topside" on moparts and here is his website showing the car in it's current form.

http://topside.info/

I use to buy Hamburger's stuff in the '70's and possibly into the '80's. Still have a few catalogs and the small "For 340's & 360's decals". He seemed to be the best source for Mopar small block stuff back then.

I had a Challenger back then and ran one in brackets till 1998. But A-body Mopars are "efficient" race cars and I got my current one for IHRA Stock in '99.

Here's an Allpar link to 1970 and later a-bodies with a little insert on the 1976-only Feather Duster near the end.

Neat cars, along with it's Dodge sister, the Dart Lite. Unfortunately, once people started adding V-8 engines and related stuff, the weight went up quickly. But as was noted, several parts interchanged with ealier years which helped out the older cars. These cars and light parts are getting hard to find. If a hood is found, it's necessary to use the lighter hood springs that came with them, or something modified with reduced tension They are hard to close with standard tension hood springs and want to bend.

Any of you familiar with the Hamburger cars know if this car ever ran in his stable? I bought the car with that understanding and it had some blue and white under the shown livery but never bothered to substantiate it...any help appreciated. Won quite a few races with this one...including a IHRA Divisional in Hot Rod. I bought it with a W2 motor, a simple hoop roll bar and just super stock springs but looks like it had some extra links at one time.

Long gone, being bracket raced in Knoxville TN. I earlier posted my other Duster that Roy Johnson built years ago for IHRA SS. That's the car I'd like to have back...
