I have seen both Skillman's and Butner's engines at Alan Pattersons' shop.
They have been seriously "touched".

Bill's new black car was running the 3.91 gear it came with and so far is untouched according to Bill. Maybe he's not telling everything but I don't believe he was just blowing smoke either. Maybe it was the beer and Lime-A-Ritas talking but I think Bill was being straight.

OK we are the fastest V10 Drag Pak Challenger - for now - back to back 9.24s with 1.27 60fts using a 2 spd @3600 lbs in BB/SA - but we did not win so it is not that important - still feels good to pound our chest - the East coast guys seem to do it - I am just saying - we have worked very hard and changed plenty - it s nice to be rewarded - thank you God
Special thanks to Phil Mandella (PMR Race Cars) what a chassis wizard - Matt Dean at GLENDORA DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP and G.E.M. and Robert at Hoosier Tire West for there support as well - we are blessed and thankful

We will test the 3spd soon in SS in case we really are going to get it in JAN

Ron

Come on - you got to admit - it does not leave like a "school bus"

Congratulations!! Hard work really does pay off in the end. It feels so much better when everything finally comes together!

Drop a 125# off that rocket and come to Indy. I understand the drive that would be the killer.

Looking forward to seeing how the 3speed will work out after testing and tuning it it.

Once again congrats!

Joseph,
What happened to the SCS?
Do you not like how your car fits those rules either?
Would a 3 speed help you attend those races that you were so passionate about earlier this year?

well here we go again, hagen you dont know crap about the original arrangements that were made for scs. It was that all cars participating would be able to run a 3 speed. Well as im sure we all know the mustangs were and we were not. We ran the first race as is and we know the out come. We did send one of our cars to two more races after that just to support the class. After we were told that we would not be able to run the 3 speed there was no need to continue racing once none of the mopar's even made it to the semi much less a final round in 3 races. But i know you are smarter than me so im sure you would be still racing in it. But just like me, as you stated in an older post, you are spoiled and you dont own your car so if the owner pulls the plug on the operation then you dont go. Its funny how you ripped me in the last post only for me to find out that dont own the cars you drive and that you have gained everything from your father. But once again, i guess since you fought for this country thats ok. I am still passionate about racing scs but lets be real we can not run with the cj as we stand. Do i think a 3 speed would help....thats a stupid question.

And one last thing great race at no problem!

I appologize for the bragging - I know there are others already spending money we can not but we will keep looking for the best things to change before doing a deep dive on the engine and what not

Being the fastest is always short lived

We are realizing in these new cars with the new classes - it is about absolute ET - not how far under we can run based on our AHFS horse power

It does seem to be sorting itself out

Soon it will be the same old game - the more you spend the faster you can go - been true as long as I can remember

All I did was ask the question so that I might be informed, and this is how you respond?
Believe it or not, everyone doesn’t live their lives through your eyes. I wanted to hear your reasoning for not participating anymore, not from hearsay. Your response is just as predicted in this thread.
http://www.classracer.com/classforum...highlight=adrl
But I got called all sorts of inflammatory names in it because of my opinion on the matter. Turns out I was right… so far.
Please reread the last thread slower. I didn't call or mean to imply that you were spoiled from your father, YOU did that. I said you are acting like a spoiled little boy because somebody didn't agree with your stance and you start bleeding and throwing names around. Do you see a common theme here? Yes, My Father funds the operation, so how can I call you spoiled in the manner you believe I did if I’m in the same boat? Only difference is, I win enough to break even most years. How about yourself? I explained this in the last thread.
When I met you in Belle Rose, you didn't offer your response to not participating in ADRL anymore when I prompted you to, so I just wanted to hear it now. You’re Way out of line here, and you might or might not be getting a 3 speed, but you’re definitely getting a tune up this year.
