Ok my New England friends, should I take I95 or I84 to Epping this year?
Last year we took I84 and it really beat up my motorhome ... ,cracked a couple of storage compartment supports and broke the LP gas pipe! Is the I95 route any better?....I'd rather pay more tolls than have to fix the motorhome again. lets hear it.

Tom,
I am on 84 and 95 all the time. 84 is better than 95 and is shorter to Epping. Bob Lasko |

I'd recomend I84 to I90 to 290 to 495 to 125. We always stay off 95 in the NY NJ area, both for roads and traffic.

Rt.125 is slightly shorter than staying on 495, to 95 exit 2(Rt. 101), but there are many speed limit changes along the way, so keep an eye out for the local law enforcement...especially in Plaistow (ask me how I know!) Also, if you get back on 95, there's the opportunity to restock with adult beverages at the conveniently located State Liquor Store right on the highway!

To those planning on taking Rt 290 thru Worcester to Rt 495 north, be Warned!
it gets a little rough going around Fitton Field at Holy Cross College. If you on the Mass Pike (I-90) stay on it until you get to the Rt 495 exit in Westboro. To those that want to use Rt 125 in Plastow to get to the track, there's a Haffner's Fuel station on Rt 125 in Masachusetts, a New Hampshire State liquor store in the DeMoulas plaza 1 mile north, and a Irving Fuel Station with a Dunkin Donuts 5 miles up on Rt 125 all are accessable to Motorhomes and long trailers. There's a Wal-Mart past the junction of Rt 125 & Rt 101 where you can "stock-up" prior to getting on Rt 101 for a mile to the exit to the track! 84 is the better way,i think the did some repaving of some sections since last year ,,95 can be a huge traffic nightmare at any 24hr period gmonde

You couldnt pay me enough to take 95. EVER!
I would rather leave a yard sale of parts up 287/87/84 than take any portion of 95! |
