I`m sure the Coca Cola company loves it when the "NHRA Enhanced Tour" goes to tracks that have Pepsi or other soft drinks on the top of the scoreboards!

The rule is pretty cut and dry on page 61.

Unless its a primary full year sponser that is part of the grandfather clause you can't have anyone else's name on anything. Should have made been discussed with the sponsor when establishing a contract.

ZaZa is a gas/oil exporation firm that I believe her daddy is or was a part owner in---definiately not a drink company

I read page 61 of the rule book. It addresses Full Throttle competitors says nothing about Lucas Oil competitors. Maybe I missed somthing.

Isn't it amazing how with several oil companies, it's called competition but not with energy drinks, well......

I thought Norwalk was a Full Throttle event.

Did this happen at the Lucas Oil in Norwalk from Mid-May?

I'll never have a car with a sponsors name on it but would do the smae if I did. It's a slap in the face to your sponsor to cover up what he's paid to have displayed. Minimum would be a phone call to get their permission.

I know a local guy who still takes his small sponsorship even though he hasn't raced in 2 years. The Sponsor is a large company that really supports Drag Racing so they don't keep close tabs on who they are helping and isn't aware of the situation. I hope Karma pays this guy a visit.

Thumbs down Re: Sponsor Names

That's a cryin' shame. Talk about Full Throttle leaving a "bad taste" with racer, his family, friends and others! It actually discourages growth of the sport.
