Here's a link to another story where they interview Brian Folk.
http://www.wkyt.com/home/headlines/F...151771115.html Prayers to everyone involved. As sad as it is to see the damage, it is very very fortunate more lives were not lost - and in the end, that's what really matters. Drive defensively out there, because there are many idiots we share the road with who drive very OFFENSIVELY! |

Boy, the news media sure wanted folks to know that the trailer had multiple gas cans in the trailor.....The insurance companies probably made a big deal out of it now and later on restrictions.....

And said "race car fuel". It's gasoline. Same as if he had run over a lawn care company's trailer

Looked to me like the semi had more "fuel" probably 200 gallons in the tanks.
So glad the Folk family is OK. It will be a battle with insurance companies. If they had their own insurance it will be easier but if the race cars are not insured it will be a lot of work to get the values back. As an insurance adjuster for 25 years I know how it works and it will get "very interesting". I hope it works out for them, they are a TRUE ASSET to our sport in every way. Brian or Nick or any of their friends....have them call me and I might be able to help with valuation appraisals for their lost equipment. Jok (319) 429-1320 On-Site Appraisals |

The video clearly shows the ONE container of race fuel appears to have come through this unscathed. Stupid sensationalizing media.

Boy thats a horrible situation. I hope the Folk's have some insurance to cover the loss. Thats alot of expensive equipment damaged in the acident. The trailer and contents were completely destroyed and it looks like the toter was heavily damaged as well. That was all first class equipment.
Glad to hear that all of their crew and family on board are OK.
