Supper Gas baseline numbers?

Can someone help me out with some Supper Gas baseline numbers? I just installed a throttle stop on the car, but I am lost on the timers. The car is tube chassis, four link and runs 8.80’s at 152mph, it has a TR400 air shifted by the Biondo 450 box @ 1.55 / 4.15 sec, and normal 60’ is +/- 1.25. Thanks in advance.

To start, you need to set your t-stop rpm. This is a big factor in how much time you put in the stop. I would start out with the t-stop rpm at 4200 rpm.

Set the first number in the timer to .1 sec and put the second number at about 2 sec. See what the car runs and adjust from there. If it runs too fast add more time, If it runs too slow take some time out.

You will want to keep your t-stop timer between 1.5 and 3 seconds so you may need to adjust the t-stop rpm in order to achieve this. This is very much a trail and error process.

The way you check the t-stop rpm is to stall the converter while the t-stop is on. On the 450 box, in Pro mode, if you press and hold the 0 key, it will kick the t-stop on and keep it there. Press and hold the 0 key again to turn it off.

Once you get a handle on it then you can use a weather station and some software to adjust based on weather changes. I wouldn't worry about that part just yet.

BTW. Does the 450 box let you shift your TH400 or are you using a different box for that?

We'll help you get it sorted out.
Do you still have fuel injection on it or did you go to a carb?
With a 400, you really have to go on the stop quickly and get it into 2nd gear at about the same time the rpm's drop on the stop.
