A990 Super Stockers

The original "Hemi Countdown." Grandpa (Harry Holton) bought it new from a dealership in Reno, NV in 1965. Bought it back in '91 and raced it until the end of '95. Car is currently owned by Mark Vieira.

These pictures are dated 1/22/66 and were taken at Kingdon Dragway in Lodi, CA.

This is a different car than the one I posted about on pp. 15-16 of this thread.

"Hemi Countdown" as I remember it. This picture is from 1992.

I was 10...

Looks like there's a '68 car in the waterbox in the background, but it's not one I recognize.

Jared, great shots of the old '65 A990 Plymouth Belvedere "Hemi Countdown"...nice saying on the trunk too.

Here's a few more photos of the 1700 mile original '65 A990 Dodge Coronet...it is said that the motor was also freshened up.
