Thanks for the technical explanation, Jeff. That combination was probably to counter the "smallish" 4-bbl they didn't have on the 440 single-carb engine that I reported on ever so erroneously a week or so ago.
Dwight straightened out the mess I made of that; beware, you may be next....  Bill
