Re: mh air ride problem
Your motorhome may be differnet so take this for what this is worth. My Toter is built on a Freightliner M2 chassis. I had a somewhat similar problem in that I have a switch to blow off the rear airbags to let the back of the truck down to get underneath the gooseneck hitch to hook and unhook the trailer. Mine would go down but was a pain in the *** to get back up. And it was also a nightmare to get the rear air bags up if it sat for a few weeks and all the air leaked off. My problem ended up being something to do with the spitter valve on the bottom of the air dryer and the dryer itself. Freightliner told me that there were several ports on it (to be honest I have never looked myself as I have not been under the truck much cause its still very new and the only thing I have done is change the oil onece and a quick look over here and ther) But anyways from what Freightliner said one of the ports had some trash in it blocking a internal orfice and not allowing something or another to allow air to the rear air bags. All the other stuff was fine (air brakes and other air operated options) just the rear air bags were screwing up. In the end they replaced the whole dryer assembly under the truck under warranty. Again yours may be different than mine. As a mechanic who works on big trucks regularlly they all have little differences in how they do the same jobs with air and valves. One make and model will be one way and another a different way. But I thought I would share since you are on a freightliner platform. Hope this helps.
