Happy New Year!!!!
Here is one idea we would like to try. ASRA vs. ECSSSA at the Combo in the Hills. We are thinking of a $50 side bet to whoever goes the farthest on Saturdays combo event gets the pot and bragging rights for there association. You need to be a member of either association to be eligible. Just to throw a number out there if 40 people enter this it would be a $2000 payday and you don't necessarily have to win the event. Just need to be the last racer in that entered this side bet. Brian and I have passed this along to Dave Ley and Greg Barsamian, both have agreed to this. Please give us some feedback if this is something worth trying or any other ideas that we may be able to bring to the Combo in the Hills! Let's here your ideas. Lee Zane Brian Van Poppel |

Your idea sounds good to me, the ASRA will be having our annual meeting in conjunction with our banquet on Feb 4th and I will make sure that your event is discussed, and a decision made. Personally,my concern is that we could get enough members to attend, many of our members don't travel that far, hopefully we could encourage enough to attend. You picked a good date this year , scheduling is always the hardest part of these things. Props to both of you for setting up this event, any stock and super stock races that promote and enrich our style of racing are a great thing. I put Numidia as one of my favorite facilities. Thanks, Dave

Lee, Brian and Rob,
I would love to announce the Combo in the Hills II, as long as the Dimino family would like me there. I had a great time last year, it was my pleasure. Feel free to call me anytime, 717-259-7996. I will be over at Hershey in for the the Div. One meetings, see many of you there! Mike Bassin |

Lee, Brian and Rob,
How bout throwing the CCRA-Carolina Class Racers Association, into the mix of the side bets? If everything goes right with this year, I plan to be there. |

This is great, how about the idea of starting round money with a 1st round win. Getting something for a round or two win takes the sting out of ever growing high over head. Plus I get to show something to my wife, heheheh....
Just my thoughts ![]() |

Scott, we would love to have you there. We will let you know about adding on to the side bet for the association racers. If it would help draw cars I'm all for it, and as far as paying 2nd round loser we just cannot do it. It takes quite a bit of money from the following rounds to make that happen. And to pay someone that gets pulled for a bye without actually competing for a win light just doesn't sound right to me. We are paying 3rd round losers. As it was set up, if we get 100 cars entered on Saturday you will receive $200 for your efforts. That's $50 more than the cost of your entry. We thought this was fair for everyone. Again if we get the entries we will adjust the payout from 3rd round loser to the winner.
Thank you, can't wait to get the season started and see you at Numidia our Division1 Track of the year!!!! Lee Brian |
