1969 Motor Trend Car of the Year (February 1969),,,

The car style is still considered one of the best...

The 1969 Road Runner had a slightly different weight than the 68' Road Runner.
Both the 1968 and 1969 Coupes and Hardtops ran in the same class.

The 68' cars with the 383/335 HP;
Coupe,,,,,,#3424 lbs.
Hardtop,,,,#3450 lbs.

The 69' cars with the 383/335 HP
Coupe...........#3437 lbs. (10.26 wt/hp) (1969,, F/S or SS/J Class)
Hardtop.........#3454 lbs. (10.33 wt/hp) (1969,, F/S or SS/J Class)
Convertible....#3574 lbs. (10.67 wt/hp) (1969,,G/S or SS/J Class)

1969 Road Runner,
featuring a new style grille, new black matte hood design, rectangular-shaped side-lights
