If I spent the money they did with NHRA, this could be considered a slap in the face! Talk about pissing off your best customers, damn.

Or.....they may be playing "good cop, bad cop"

Well the Diet Pepsi came out of the nose! PAAC, Performance Aftermarket Advisory Committee!.....another phantom advisory board? Didn't Big Brother use the same acronym (PAAC) when they dumped on S SS some new program last spring?

Nobody on this board was aware of it or who was on it. Now Jeg's is caught off guard? If they aren't on the PAAC, who is? Similar to phantom surveys we keep hearing about no one has participated in.

Wow! These guys must stay up at night studying NetFlix business model.

The writing is on the wall for NHRA. First of all they keep raising the insurance to enter a national event, now $95 per event. Second, they have half the fans and half the entries from prior years. Third, they keep adding other classes to make up the difference of low car counts, this all started when they cut out one sportsman class per event. Forth, the economy is in the tank because of the socialist nut cases in the white house so no one can afford to race or go watch. Look at division 2 with the 10, 11 & 12 sec classes. We got pro belt sanders and pro ET and pro jr dragster ... what is next? Now they are talking about cutting alcohol classes at divisionals ... so NHRA gouges us, now gouging the sponsors, the pros are lucky to get any sponsorship. Maybe next year a AA/SA car will be able to qualify for TF because there will only be 10 or 12 show up ..

NHRA seems to be a lot like the federal government.

They think they have a revenue problem.

What they really have is a spending (SALARY) problem.

Instead of creating more customers, they intend to charge more fees to fewer customers.

Their business/marketing plan is not a good one.

Does any one know any one on the Performance Aftermarket Advisory Committee!..... They seem to be the blame of all that is bad at NHRA. Its' not our fault the Performance Aftermarket Advisory Committee!..... said it was a great idea.

I just heard the Performance Aftermarket Advisory Committee!..... thinks the NHRA board should be a voluteer position. Lets see if NHRA goes with that plan.

Comp Cams is one of them. Charlie Nielsen is another. There are a couple of racers that haven't had the balls to admit they are part of it on here.

Alan, though their strategy does seem to be flawed, there's no denying it does work at least to some degree. If the place I worked treated our customers like this we would certainly be in trouble our customers would simply go elsewhere. That being said we Do have choices though many wouldn't even entertain the idea of possibly racing say with IHRA, or your local Stock S/S series. Heck I'm considering all options. I've enjoyed racing both I&N both have their positives and negatives. Heck may even throw together some junk in the corner and simply bracket race. Never raced to try to make any money at it it's simply recreational for me, however at some point I have to decide just how much I'm willing to spend on a hobby. Joe
