Yes it is not one of the original 52 ,but it's pedigree,along with the fact that it has extensive documation ,along with all those original Group 19 parts,make it a great car for a true AMC collector.
Since the inflated prices of Muscle Cars has fallen dramaticaly, cars like this will eventually become priced closer to reality .

I agree with you. I'd rather see a clone that's raced as opposed to a brilliant collector piece any day. I've always thought collector race cars were the biggest waste of money out there. They're not competitive as race cars and you can't do anything but polish them and take them to shows.
If the Seller of this AMX is looking for $20K or so, I'd say it's priced right.
And if the Buyer wants a pair of original 4584-S carbs...I got 'em.
