It's not 1970's anymore boys. Change with the times or get left behind.

I didn't realize Chevy sold any Camaros with 4-links, 9" Fords, or Whipple blowers. Guess I should do some more research

Well, if you believe those who say you have to have one of the new cars to "keep up with the times" then the trough is fine china and it takes $100K just to see the menu. Many of us with traditional "obsolete" cars will just have to bracket race.

You have forgotten CHEVY has to install the 9" FORD in their prized NASCAR Cars every week end have been doing that since the mid 60's! So you could say all the NASCAR wins have been with the help of FOMOCO!!

Andrew said Chevy never sold any Camaro's with 9". To my knowledge a Nascrap is about as far from a real Chevy as funny car is.
Also everyone complains about how wide the camaro is. Everyone does realize it's similar in width to the stang and narrower and shorter than the challenger right? |

And their Cd (Coefficient of Drag) numbers are comparable as well but go back to Toby's video of INDY SS class where Martel's Camaro is running. Looks like a school bus going down the track.

Wow! I'm surprised the Challeneger is as good as it is compared to the others. The recessed grille was a big handicap on '68-'69 Chargers which led to the Daytonas and Superbirds in NASCAR.
It was also said that the blunt-nose Oldsmobiles from 10 or 15 years ago (?) were more aerodynamic than the sleek-looking Firebirds and Camaros. For what it's worth, while I don't care for the Ford 9" "style" rears in Mopars or Chevies, at least it's keeping the aftermarket companies going! |
