Default what are you doing after the 1/4 mile

Just wondering, why a lot of cars after they finish making there run, are stopped on the return road, and not going up and getting there time slip. Are they letting there tranny cool down. I always get my slip and head back to the pits. Just wondering.

Taking stuff off. It's hot out there.

I'm a right back to the pit kind of guy, but that's what people tell me.

Drive a Blk doorcar if its hot, stopping on return rd to peel off suit, also allows my temp to come down. If its not hot, back to trailer.

Taking off my gloves, arm restraints and helmet, loosen the shoulder belts, unzip the jacket and put on my baseball cap and head back to the trailer. My son on the other hand heads straight to the ET slip booth to get the info, I kind of figure that it's not going to change.

I had gotten used to having to stop to pick the chute up, take off the jacket, gloves and stuff, and hang the helmet... now that I am going a little slower and do not need the chute, I still seem to stop and peel off the gear... I guess its just habit at this point... I do the same in either car, The Mustang depending on the track I still do use the chute, and the dragster just makes for a more comfortable ride back tot he trailer.
